Our Story
It all started thirty ago in an unlikely place—a kindergarten classroom in New Jersey. Back then, Michael Battaglia and John Garret Denise were just two rowdy five year olds, bubbling with energy and imagination, who formed a life-long friendship.
After school, Michael went on to learn the family trade, becoming the fourth generation in his family to join the family business. He has spent over ten years devoted to learning the ins and outs of the spirits industry in America.
A bit of a dreamer, John Garret is an analytical thinker at heart. Achieving his goals one by one, he became an engineer, a flight instructor and a creative wunderkind.
Together they have founded B&D Spirits, a beverage importer that combines Mike’sskills as an industry insider with John Garret’s as an entrepreneur.
